Good Morning Folks,
I have recently bought a low mileage 2015 DS3 1.6HDiBlue DSport from small time garage in Dewsbury. I drove it back to Scotland and to be honest I was really pleased with the car, the drive and the tech. I have had it for a month and done approx. 1200 miles (including 350mile return to Scotland). Earlier this week the UREA light accompanied by the Orange Engine Management light came on and the associated error messages on the touch screen console.
Counting down the starting prevention and the Engine fault repair needed. which is described in the manuals
I have filled to the brim the Adblue reservoir with the relevant ISO standard and up until this morning the UREA light remained flashing and the starting prevention countdown message persisted. After covering approx. 100 miles since filling up the UREA light has now switched off along with the starting prevention message but the engine management light along with the Engine fault repair message have remained.
Is this normal and will reset after sitting for several hours or does this sound more like a real problem,
I have a local Citreon dealership and asked to speak to the technicians but they come with the usual we need to plug it in to the computer to see etc etc. are there any experts that have seen this kind of thing before? and what are the possibilities.
Its worth noting that no Engine Management Light was on prior to the Adblue level dropping below the relevant levels.
any pointers would be welcome and I really hope this doesn't tarnish a blooming love affair with my DS3....
thanks in advance.
Craig
