Darren successfully remapped our 1.6thp on saturday. Our file supplier confirmed what I suspected when I saw the standard torque curve and suspiciously low peak torque rpm - the torque limiters were all screwed right down.
He needs to make a few tweaks to the light throttle settings because its too responsive on light throttle in 2nd and 3rd, but otherwise is astounding.
I have also turned up the boost pressure by 4psi electronically with an experimental plug-in box.
What a car.

PS our diesel Turbotune module (£249) has 9 maps with 2 switches to select them so no laptop or crewdriver needed and we've fitted many to all the 1.4 and 1.6 diesels. Yes they are very awkward but once you've done one, they are easy enough.
We also offer an optional extension lead (£30) which makes subsequent removal and refitting a doddle.
