Anyone got any hints on how to get the 3rd brake light out?
From what I have seen looking at pictures on eBay and also getting so far with the removal, there are 4 spring tabs that hold the light into the hole in the tailgate. Removing the 2 rubber grommets gives access for a screwdriver or steel rod to lever the light outwards. However, in my attempts I can remove 1 side OK, but 1 of the 4 spring tabs remains engaged and the amount of effort applied by the screwdriver is at the point where the light may break. It is hard to grip it from the outside at this point.
I reckon if I had a tool like an angled credit card with a 90 degree bend, I might be able to hold the 4th spring tab down and remove the light.
Any done this and have any tips for removing the light?
