  • Air Conditioner Issues - 2013 DS3 Petrol

    Hello,

I have a 2013 model DS3 (1.6 petrol). The air conditioner has just started not working, with no click from the compressor.

I have had an air-conditioning specialist look at the car, and he has advised that the gas levels are all fine.

From this, he advised that the likely issue is a failed pressure sensor. He tested one at the top of the engine bay by the firewall, and this was working normally, however the one on the actual compressor (picture attached) does not appear to be working. He was able to manually start the compressor by by-passing this sensor (picture attached). My questions are:

1.) Is this likely to be a faulty sensor?
2.) Can the sensor by itself be replaced, or is a whole new compressor required?
3.) What other issues could this be caused by?

I should mention I was able to briefly get the compressor working again when I checked last night, however today it is no longer working again.

If the sensor can be purchased separately, does anyone know the part number? According to the picture, it seems to be a 90 degree angle.

The compressor model is a SANDEN SD6C12 1367 - these appear to be the same as in PSA Peugeot 2008's? Can these parts be interchanged? I note that this one:

...has an "F" at the end of the model number, whereas mine does not.

    Any help much appreciated!
