I have a Citroen DS3 Cabrio. I had some unexplained banging from underneath and assumed it was the suspension. I called a breakdown service out and they said they thought it was due to a part underneath the rear passenger side of the car, which they've now removed. They've told me they don't know what it is, but that it's not essential, so I don't need to replace it. HOWEVER, I'd rather know what it is, so I can then decide whether it's needed.
Does anyone know what this is? (https://photos.app.goo.gl/E9vuoLwh5Aock6AX7 - I've had to upload the images in Google folder because for some reason I can't attach the images to this post). I've done lots of Google searches, but can't identify it.
