Intermittenent whining noise 1.6 E-Hdi Airdream

I bought a ds3 about a month ago and I don't no if it's something to be concerned about but when I turn of the engine I get an intermittenent whining noise. Doesn't matter whether it's a short/long drive, I've let the engine idle for a few minutes before switching of also and have no idea!! It's a 1.6 e-Hdi Airdream. Thanks for any help in advance

Yeah a clip would be really helpful, I've had two eHDI's and I've not heard a noise like you describe.

Was it new ? Have you asked the dealer for their opinion ?

Is it more like an electric whine or mechanical whine?

Is it like a fan noise? Mine has a fan that stays on cooling something down after you switch engine off, stops after about 30 secs. Dunno if its part of the air con or something. As far as I know its supposed to do it and never really bothered me.

I will get a video soon. It could be electrical because when the stop/start kicks in it doesn't usually make the noise until I turn the key completely of only on occasion does it happen with the electrics on. It's a 61 plate with 40k on the clock and I haven't got the chance to take it to the dealer as I'm not in the area I bought the car.
I never use the air con either so I assume that's not it

Its not the middle speaker in the dash winning is it? Known issue with some models

Sounds like someone having sex in a squeaky bed, mine doesn't do that as far as I know...

Totally normal, most HDi engines all do the same.

Other than that the car mechanically is really good but little things break so easy on it! Like one of the air vents has pretty much fallen apart and the glove box door rattles :/
