Will you guys do speculative quotes? I.e. just going off spec, not registrations.

Yes we will. This is common when people are deciding which car to look for (without having a specific car already in mind). Please do give us a call or PM me your number and I'll get someone to call you.

        best,
        Nick

It's going turbo over spring/early summer (depending if i can source parts). It will be between 220bhp and 250bhp.

Depends which model you have but that could be OK if you've got the 1.6 THP 16V DSport Plus, for example. Too much of a jump if you've got a 1.2 VTi DSign at 82bhp though but you're surely not going to get 250 out of that?

Confusing, but OK. These start with either 124 or 157 so 220 or 250 after upgrade is within the 100 increase.

Do you do other cars? What about a naturally aspirated engine converted to supercharger or turbo say 1000BHP

You might not have seen the comments re. our 100bhp increase limit above but we can quote for other cars, yes.

It depends on the rest of the risk. Please give us a call if you're serious and we can go through the costs with you.

What do you measure the performance increase? Factory figures then how it performed on a dyno? What about torque?

We're only required to look at the claimed gain - you don't have to go out and get a dyno test.

I'm confused about your starting figures? The 1.6 (which I have) is 115bhp. With a turbo it is 220 - 250bhp.

Not that I'm trying to turn this into an mx5 debate. Just haven't seen you on other forums, unless I've not looked hard enough.

What's the deal with roll bars anyway?

I assumed it was an 05-15 model.

We're on about 200 clubs and forums but not any mx-5.
