  • Maintenance wash

OK, so we see lots of photos after people have done full details but let's see what your car's like after a normal wash (state what your normal wash consists of too).

    Mine -

    AB snowfoam
    Powermaxed shampoo
    Dry with a big towel
AG interior cleaner on the wheels (it's better than the proper wheel cleaner)
    Megs tyre dressing
    AG rapid detailer

            10 minutes
Hose down, wash n wax turtle wax shampoo with mitt, Hose down, Dry off

If time- another 10 mines waterless wash n shine. Looks a treat

Sure there will be many screams of outrage, but this is realtime, and would rather this than a right old dirty motor

Andy, can I ask for your reason on using snow foam for your recent details, as in your newbie guide you say:
A pre-wash using a garden pressure sprayer which I personally prefer is cheaper and produces less "mess" than snowfoaming.
Is Valet Pro citrus pre-wash not in your arsenal any more

Mine took 5 to 6 hours, two bucket method wash, quite a bit of claying to get rid of brake dust on panels (have to find that clay mit in Halfords was just using clay bar). Guess I could of used ironx here first to space some time. Wash and dry and then Meg wax.

Wheels only had a very quick rinse need to get a good brush to work the crap lose.

It certainly is pal, along with SurfexHD and RDS. There is method in my madness though.

At this time of year with the temperatures as they are, an application of a pre rinse through a pressure sprayer is not going to last very long on the bodywork and will not work as effectively due to a quicker than usual evaporation of water and product.
With the larger surface area coverage and water content of a foam, this allows for a longer dwell time if that makes sense.

                      This

will not be evaporating as quickly as a misting of VP Citrus Pre-wash for example
