  • Sonax Polymer Net Shield beading

Pugly was the test pilot for this seeing as though it's going back tomorrow. Left hand side (drivers) had the Sonax applied, right hand side had absolutely nothing applied.

Here's the bumf for the 6 month protection:

Surface protection using Hybrid Polymer Technology for all paintwork surfaces.

Sonax Polymer Net Shield protects the paintwork by means of a resistant network of organic and inorganic components. This new generation of polymers produces crisp, clear reflections while protecting paintwork from UV rays, acid rain, bird droppings, airborne contaminants and even road salt.

Quick and easy to apply, it intensively freshens up the colours and produces a silky soft surface with an outstanding lotus effect.

Looks good Andy.. Pardon my ignorance, but does this go over your hand wax and QD, or is it instead of?

Instead of polish AND wax Mark.

Any sealant type product whether it's going on bodywork, glass or alloys needs to be applied to as stripped bare and as clean a surface as possible. So once everything is stripped off then this is applied albeit extremely easily. Can be topped up say every 2-4 weeks with BSD and that is that.

      This is a good read:

The Protect and Shine you have is for new and as new paintwork where as this is for all types of paintwork. IMO, probably an almost identical product ingredient wise with one thing slightly tweaked or different to market 2 different products for sale.
I would not get this if you already have the Hybrid NPT pal.

It's horses for courses. If like me you enjoy polishing and waxing and applying sealants and machine polishing etc then I like them all.

If it was for an owner who likes to clean the car once every 1-2 months then something like this product is ideal.

A wash, a clay mitt, a dry then a 15-20 minute application of this Polymer Net Shield and that is it.

The half of the Peugeot bonnet on the video took 20 seconds to apply, left for 2 minutes then 20 seconds to buff off. Less than 3 minutes for half a large panel.

yeah seen a disturbing video of the cleaner too here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwMHem9YtcI

its does depend on the amount of crud on your wheels i guess.

Oven cleaner and a scourer, what a redneck. They still look as S@#t afterwards as they did before he started.
