  • Obsession Nero tyre dressing

I bought 3 bottles of this from Jay on Sunday purely on the basis of another detailers posts.

Surfexed the tyres at 1:5 ratio with a stiff brush then left to dry

    Applied the Nero

Spread it around with a mf then left it for only ten minutes before I wiped away the excess. Extremely happy with the gloss look at the moment

During the wash stage, the tyres were scrubbed with Megs Super Degreaser and a AG stiff brush...

The tyres were then dried with my warm air Aeolus pet dryer...

Then left to air dry for about 15 mins whilst I was drying the rest of the car before spraying on the dressing.

Jay had advised to spray on, wipe in a bit, leave to dry for a good 15 mins then buff any excess product off. So, I did just that. It is a thin white liquid that easily covers the tyre in 3-4 sprays. To be honest, I think I over applied it!

It starts to work its way into the rubber, and looks like this after 2 mins...

I lightly wiped it into the surface to get even coverage, then left for a bit. After 5 mins it looked like this...

After 15 mins it looked like this...

Very glossy! As Jay instructed, I did then buff the tyres with a used MF cloth, which does dampen the finish quite significantly.

Just as I like it actually. Here's what it looks like outside...

Looks like good stuff, not too sure about how it makes your car look like a VW though

Shine lasting well but as it's a trim dressing as well, thought would show you how good a trim dressing.

Here's it on the rear splitter.

Not too shabby a trim anyway to start with

Looks good Andy, will be interesting to see what it looks like after rain, i have noticed that a lot of trim dressings wash off after rain or even leave streaks

              Andy

You have some sort of lighting issue - a lot of your pictures come out with a blueish tint!
Maybe you want to try flash only, are there neons on at the same time?
