Washing in the rain

I quite often need to wash my car in the rain. eg if it's raining on the morning of a driving test - And we get a lot of rain here in West Cumbria!
Any particular tips?

depends on how harsh the rain is if its light drizzle then not to much shampoo as ya will need a hose to rinse the rest off if heavy then lots of foam n most waxes can be applied when wet my neighbours think im nuts when i wash ours when its peeing down lol
