So, with all the meets coming up over the next couple of months, and my days off running out before Wings & Wheels, I thought now was a good time for a full detail. I started with my usual Citrus Pro, rinse, 2BM wash, rinse and towel dry. I am now going panel by panel doing the following.
Clay mitt with soapy water, rinse then dry.
Megs Ultimate Compound applied with white G3 waffle pad, then buffed with clean microfibre.
SRP applied with black G3 waffle pad, then buffed with clean microfibre.
Finally a coat of Sonax Protect & Shine using 2 clean microfibres.
Here are 2 shots showing 50/50 Left side just clayed, right side full treatment.
And these shots show the bonnet and bumper after the full treatment.
Very happy with the result, although it is bloody hard work, and only got the roof, bonnet and front bumper done today. Hoping the weather will hold tomorrow to finish it.
The Megs UC really is a top product, and it made a massive difference to the many swirl marks I had. One tip though, it is really hard to apply and get off if using in direct sunlight or on hot bodywork.
