  • My turn!

So I thought I'd jump on the band wagon and post up my pre W&W efforts as well! It's taken me around 6 hours to complete as I've had to keep ducking back inside due to the weather . I'm almost embarrassed to post up the before pictures as she was filthy, probably the dirtiest she's ever been.

Body washed with a strong Surfex pre wash, then a snow foam/RDS mix. Then followed by 2BM with Meguiars Gold Class shampoo, and then clayed using Farecla G3 mitt. Meguiars Show Glaze 7 was then used, followed by Farecla G3 Supergloss wax. It was finished off with Farecla Bodyshop detailer on the bodywork, Powermaxed Glass cleaner on the windows, AG Trim gel on the trim and Soft 99 Glaco on the windscreen/front windows.

The wheels were done first with a strong mix of Surfex brushed onto the tyres with a stiff brush, then two applications of Korrosol. I had sealed the alloys last time I washed them so fortunately the caked on brake dust wasn't too difficult to get off with a combination of the wheel woolies and good old elbow grease. The alloys were then sealed again with Sonax Xtreme Wheel Rim Sealant and the tyres dressed with Obsession Wax Nero.

I also took the opportunity to finally debadge the rear as well, and it looks much better for it.

    She now looks like this!

All in all, an excellent way to first spend the first day of my holiday!

This was the only time I had to do a proper detail unfortunately. I'll give her another once over Thursday, but it'll only be quick. I'll do the interior tomorrow, as that's pretty filthy as well!

          Looks great

Mine needs doing this week, hoping it's clear Thursday after work, although 230 miles later it might not looks as shiny for Wings & Wheels.

I'll only get the chance for a quick detail spray this week before Wheels & Wings, some good efforts going on these past few days and nice looking DS3s

Good job mate, came up a treat! I think the top of the rear bumper is too flat, as loads of dirt seems to accumulate there. Debadging the rear looks the dogs as well!

Very proud of you my friend. Car looks great and good choice of products used. Surprised you didn't use your Fusso light as an LSP though.😉

Did you use your new Envy wash mitt and if so what did you think of it?

                    Ah there's a very good reason why I didn't....

                    I forgot .

Yeah I did, and I was quite impressed. It takes a lot of water and I'm confident as I can be for a swirl free wash with it. The only downside is it catching and leaving behind bits of fluff that I keep finding all over!

It certainly does hold a lot of water and I know what you mean about the fluff lol

Yeah definitely, and it's mostly from the rear window when I use the washer.
