  • Jimbob at Racoon HQ today

Nice to see JB again today when he arrived for machine polishing training with his new Das6 Pro polisher.

Car was given a strong BiltHamber SurfexHD application, rinsed then snowfoamed twice. Once with new sample foam, 45ml in 1L, rinsed then a second foam, Obsession Wax Blizzard again 45ml in 1L of water http://www.obsessionwax.com/blizzard-snowfoam-500ml/

Dried then dragged into the cave for bonnet to be corrected as part of training.

Portion of bonnet was taped up with blue 3M tape then Meguiars 105 applied with an orange foam pad. Swirls gone so rest of the bonnet was then corrected using same combination of pad and compound. Bonnet was then panel wiped with Soft99 Silicone Off http://nipponshine.com/shop/accessor...el-wipe-300ml/

Poorboys Blackhole http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/glazes.../prod_494.html was then applied by the machine with a blue pad. Buffed off then a light coating of Soft99 Authentic Premium Wax was applied as an LSP http://nipponshine.com/shop/wax/authentic-premium/

Extremely well protected and shiny bonnet was now evident of which I hope JB can produce a picture of from one of the few pictures he took.

Again, great to see you again JB, you are welcome at Racoon HQ anytime 👍👍

Bonnet amazing - now for the rest of the car!!!

There is knowing your subject and then there is the ability to teach it.
Andy has both skills in spades!
I was afraid to put something on my car that looked remarkably like a sander so firstly needed confidence then secondly technique. I now feel happy to go it alone and, fancy that, need to buy a few more products

I will post some pictures soon.
Thanks again Andy - always a pleasure.

            Hi Swifty

Hexlogic foam pads, Meguiars Ultra Cut Compound and Meguiars Ultra Finishing Polish. These came with the DAS6 Pro as a kit. Everything else was from Andy's bat cave.
Doing the rest of the car tomorrow if I can work that hard

Always a pleasure this end too. Just remember nice and slow, no pressure needed and keep pad spinning.

Decided to spend a few minutes (hours and hours) finishing polishing the rest of the car!

                    Looks OK.

I was thinking a hot bath with half a bottle of Jim Beam Red Stag and a handful of Tramadol actually!
