  • chrome trim cleaning?

    Any guide on how to get the chrome wing mirror and door protectors back from the dead?
    corrosion is starting to take hold as the last owner of my car didnt bother looking after it :/

      I use that Auto Glym too ^

      Cleaned my Dad's Chrysler 300c this afternoon and used this on all the chrome and it came out perfect
      DS3 Evo Edition
      Sport Red
      E8 DRY

                  It may have a plastic base, but the visible surface is a very thin layer of chromium, most likely deposited by a vacuum metallisation process.

                    just bought that polish, ill give it a good go on the "chrome" bits, ill try get some pictures of the bad bits tomorrow see if any of you guys can point me in the right direction of sorting it out

                              As above,

                              Plastic chrome trim is best cleaned with a standard body work polish as a metal polish would be far to aggressive
