  • Detailed a brand new M*** today straight from the dealer

My mum picked this up today so being the kind son I am, offered to make a better job of it than the dealers. This is how it turned up at 12pm with 19 miles under its belt

First thing was to get rid of all the wrapping and protection. Autosmart Tardis came in very handy at this stage.

Next was this which I received from Wayne today at Powermaxed (perfect timing)

Nice and thick foam then left to dwell

Whilst foam was working its magic, a quick application of Autosmart wheel cleaner concentrate on the matt black 18" Cooper alloys worked in with Wheel Woolies and a wash mitt for the face.

All rinsed then I used Autosmarts clay towel with G3 Detox shampoo to give the bodywork a wipe down. Shampoo with the towel worked extremely well and left paintwork like glass.

Another rinse then dried with Uber Ltd Edition drying towel. Korrosol then applied to bodywork

Another rinse, no tar present but a few sticky marks at the base of the doors required a wipe with Tardis which soon removed them.

Bodywork was then treated to a coating of GTechniq C2v3 followed by Collinite 476s.

Alloys sealed with Auto Finesse Mint Rims

And tyres dressed with Obsession Wax Nero

Interior smells better with 50cal air freshener

To leave these, unedited final pictures

Cheers buddy. Hard to show how shiny it was in these pictures especially being white but all nice and protected now with a sealant and a wax in readiness for Winter.

There was one mark about 6 inches long below the o/s headlight. Didn't come off with foam, clay towel, detox shampoo or Tardis. Not even proper clay. Dragged out the Das6 Pro with a white pad and Megs 205. 5 seconds later, gone. That was the only tricky mark. Was expecting a hell of a lot more seeing as though it hadn't been touched by anybody but no, just the one.

                        Mine had a couple
One scratch on the top of the door and one that looked like a thumb print on the roof
Same as you Das 6,white pad,105 and 205 all gone.

Great work Andy, nice to see you showing a brand new car is not perfect at all to any potential buyers they may even get the Detailing equipment first, or call round to yours of course

If you were a kind son you should have persuaded her to buy a real car!

You notice how Andy parked his car so far away from the Mini. Almost like he was ashamed or something
