  • Weather against the me

Well, trying to clean the car ready for Sunday, and of course my 2 days off (today and tomoz), rain forecast-ed around 90-100% for both days. I am not impressed :-(

Might be a silly question, but is there any point in washing the car with the rain on and off (I know i cant wax it as i wont have time to get it done in between intermittent showers)?....

I think there is, as I will wash mine regardless on Saturday morning. It will still get all the muck off, kicked up by the puddles etc from the recent bad weather. Bring some traffic film remover, and detailing spray for a final spruce up on the day. Quite a few of us have half a boot load of cleaning stuff on the day if you need to borrow anything

This is my plan too. At the moment there are a few hours forecast where it's not raining on Saturday morning, so I'm going to do what I can then.

That's where the detailing spray comes in, gets rid of the streaks and water marks on the day.

Its deffinately worth spending an hour in the rain to keep on top of you car.

A top tip is: Once you've rinsed your vehicle down after shampooing add some quick detailer to the wet panels and dry as well as you can. This is a quick fix for some protect to last until your next wash.

                  I hope this helps,

                  Joe

Managed to get the car done this morning. And literally as a finishing buffing the last panel, it started to rain. In between the rain, I've managed to hoover too.

Sounds like perfect timing, although some may say its the fact you cleaned your car is why it rained, well thats what my neighbour says to me!

                            Keep it up,

My neighbours say this too me a lot of the time. But mostly it's 'are you still cleaning it' It baffles most people that they go to the shops, hang the washing out, walk the dog, get some gardening done etc and I'm still just cleaning the same car. Perfectly normal to me.
