  • Frost Car Care products review

After speaking with Mark at British company Frost Car Care, he very kindly offered to send me a few products to review. I was expecting sample size bottles but received these the following day

With over two decades of experience in the professional detailing industry, the Frost Car Care products have been developed from their obsession and passion for detailing excellence!

Each and every one of their products is unique, pH neutral when they can, and uses naturally derived ingredients where applicable. They strive to develop the best products possible, without budget restraints, and most of all, without compromise.

Their products are all crafted here in the UK, and have undergone rigorous development - testing over and over again, to ensure the best clean for our cars.

"PURE" shampoo in a fantastic glass bottle with a cork none the less. Looks and feels extremely classy indeed.

Frost PURE Shampoo is a true detailer’s dream product. A highly concentrated shampoo – with a high dilution ratio of 1:2000 – its pH neutral formula is designed to be gentle on paint and wax sealant layers that have already been applied to your vehicle.

The one I used today was "CLEAN" shampoo. A regular plastic bottle this time but still looked good.

Frost CLEAN Shampoo is a concentrated shampoo, with a high dilution ratio of 1:1000, and has an outstanding cleaning ability, even without a pre-wash.
The pH neutral formula is designed to be gentle on paint and wax sealant layers that have already been applied to your vehicle.

    Just a little used

Produced a decent amount of suds in the bucket

Wool mitt glided over paintwork very easily and felt extremely luxurious.

Suds stayed on car for a good while

Rinsing off produced sheeting qualities that I hadn't experienced before from a shampoo.

The car was literally almost drying itself

Final pat dry produced a finish that looked like I had just applied a QD

If this "cheaper" CLEAN Shampoo produces results like I have experienced today then I cannot wait to try PURE. Only trouble is I really don't want to pop the cork as it looks so good unopened on the shelves in RacoonHQ

Thanks again Mark; very, very impressive 👍

The PURE Shampoo was given a try this week on my filthy car back from the bodyshop after almost 3 weeks.

Such a shame to pop the cork

Tiniest drop poured into bucket 1:2000 dilution ratio

Water added and foaming up almost instantly

Foam became that thick, the mitt wouldn't sink in

Mitt dunked into bucket and loaded

Suds stayed on the car longer than the CLEAN Shampoo and felt really luxurious. Using the mitt was effortless. I wash myself in less luxurious soap than this.

Also the mother in laws car got a treat too

Mine was then rinsed and pat dried to leave a finish that looked it had just had an application of a QD or had been polished and waxed. An amazing clean and ultimately an amazing look from a shampoo. Not just any shampoo but one that costs 40p per luxurious wash using just 10ml.

A massively, highly recommended shampoo as is the CLEAR glass polish. Easy on, easy off. No streaks or smears and rather good beading from its hydrophobic qualities as shown here

Received these from Frost today, Onyx tyre dressing, Zero decontaminate, Lotus glass sealant and a secret little sample pot.

Used the neighbours brand new A Class as a guinea pig (lucky him as mine was too clean) and washed and dried the car using a previously sent Frost product, Pure shampoo.

A fantastic shampoo that just gives a brilliant look provided by an extremely easy wash.

This is not the same product as Glacier even though it's the same 500ml glass bottle.

Spoke with Mark from Frost today who told me that since he took over Glacier, the name has obviously changed, ingredients have also been changed, products have been tweaked but a lot of positive feedback was received regarding the packaging of the products so this area of the product was retained. I have to agree that this was the correct decision as glass and metal bottles have a certain class and one-man-up-man-ship over cheap plastic.

The product inside though has to live up to the quality look and aesthetics of the container. These products do. Boy they sure do.

Next up to use was the Onyx tyre dressing. A liquid as opposed to a gel, applied with a sponge goes on easily enough, spreads very efficiently and doesn't feel greasy at all.

Applied the previously sent Clear glass polish to the windscreen followed by Lotus glass sealant. Hard to get a picture but will post up its hydrophobic qualities in due course once this summer weather eases.

Zero will be tested out on a detail this coming Sunday.

looks really good. Wouldn't mind trying some of the frost stuff. The Lotus looks interesting as currently just using BSD which works really well but doesn't last long.

The good thing about BSD is a couple of sprays, wipe, buff, done. No waiting to cure or apply with a small cotton applicator like with Lotus. Lotus however, I'm expecting a good few months out of at least. Will post up a dashcam video when it next rains.
