Well "The Beast" turned up last night in preparation for an 8 hour interior and exterior detail. Turned into 11 hours but results were well worth it.
BMW 530d, fully loaded and absolutely gorgeous with cream leather interior but outside was a little dirty
Decided last night to give the floor mats a clean as it was dark outside RacoonHQ so here they are
Autosmart Brisk applied and brushed in to the mats
Extracted by the Nilfisk 20T wet and dry vac was this
Credit card then used to create the stripes
This took 2 hours. Brought into conservatory to dry overnight then up and out at 8 this morning to get cracking on a job that wouldn't wake the neighbours. Wheels and tyres it was
The absolutely brilliant Powermaxed wheel cleaner and mark remover was first applied
Small Wheel Woolie used for the tighter spokes
Rinsed to leave wheels looking like this ready for the fall out remover, Zero from Frost Car Care
The Zero was applied, left to work then rinsed on 3 separate occasions to ensure alloys were spotless.
Left to look like this
Interior now vacced out, all plastics dressed with Autosmart Finish and leather cleaned and treated with Chemical Guys Sprayable Leather
Even the leather on the inside flap of the central armrest cubbyhole was cleaned
Interior finished
A stong mix of BiltHamber SurfexHD to thoroughly clean the car then pressure rinsed off. Then the whole of the car was clayed with the Autosmart clay towel and a strong shampoo mix of Farecla G3 Pro Detox Shampoo
Rinsed off then dried. Car was then machine polished with a yellow heavy compounding pad for the hard BMW paint and Meguiars Ultimate Compound to get rid of light swirls, scratches and marks. All buffed off then time for protection.
Decided to go for Gtechniq C2V3 first. This is a spray coating designed to go on easy and provide a level of protection and durability that is greater than most conventional waxes and paint sealants on the market. C2v3 is a very versatile product that can be used on every surface of your car, paint, glass, plastic trim, rubber, etc.
Gtechniq C2v3 Liquid Crystal Spray is NOT a quick detailer or a spray wax, it is a high performing sealant.
After the Gtechniq was buffed off, a wax was then applied. Not just any wax, but one I have been saving, a specially blended wax from Obsession Wax. Only 12 pots were ever produced in this batch and I was there to see it being born on 29/6/14.
Alloys were sealed with 2 coats of Nanomeric wheel seal and tyres dressed with 3 applications of Frost Onyx tyre dressing.
All exterior glass polished with Frost Clear glass polish then windscreen treated to Frost Lotus glass sealant which will produce superhydrophobic qualities, perfect for the coming months.
To leave this end result at 4.55pm, total job time 10 hours 55 minutes.
