Well bought a lambswool mitt and I've started doing a prewash with shampoo in a watering can and warm water to loosen the dirt off before I start cleaning and both cars came up very nice with less effort which is good. However I now have another issue with the ds3 in that the plastichrome side strips and wheel nut covers are going a little cloudy. The only shiny bit on the mazda is the exhaust and wheel nuts both of which are proper metal...so I use brasso but have a feeling that'll ruin the finish.

So er what do people use on the silver bits? never had a car with chrome...

Just give them a polish with AG SRP and they will come up looking great. As Mark said, a QD will look after them just fine.
