  • Treatment for brand new car

Just a thought as there are a few new plate cars joining the site - are any protective treatments for bodywork, wheels etc recommended on a brand new car (before it picks up much road grime etc.) to help prevent deterioration? Also, anything for the roof on the cabrio model?

The problem with a lot of the protection, such as ceramic etc, is they need to be left to cure for 24+ hours with no contaminate coming into contact in that time. Unless you've got a big enough indoor space that you can leave your car in, or are willing to pay for a professional detailer to do it for you, you're better off just applying a tough wax every few months yourself.
