  • Bellone Black Alloy Wheels

Hi, Apologies if this has already been covered,

is there any special cleaning product which will help keep my black alloys nice and clean, ensuring i don't knacker the colour of them,

i am worried standard alloy cleaner might do more harm than good!!

Most non-acid wheel cleaners should be safe to use.

I use Autobrite Very Cherry Non-Acid with a paint brush to agitate the dirt. I keep meaning to buy wheel woolies but not got round to it yet.

I'm sure Andy will be along soon with his recommendations

Andy has posted about them before: Wheel Woolies. Basically a selection of safe brushes for agitating the dirt without damaging the finish of the wheels.

I can highly recommend Wheel Woolies. Yes they are not cheap but entirely worth it. They are particularly good for getting into the inner rim of the Bellones as some of the 'openings' are small.

If you get the set of three Wheel Woolies, the smallest one can be used for all of the tight spaces on the front grille. I would definitely recommend them. All credit for me getting them has to go to Andy, I'd never heard of Wheel Woolies until he suggested them.

Wheel woolies are well worth the money. Have a look at Power Maxed Frequent Use Wheel Cleaner as well, that's what I use and it's fantastic. Just spray it on, leave it for a bit and it just lifts the dirt right off. Just pressure wash it off and it's good as new. That would be your every week maintenance wash, as it's Ph neutral.Other products you could look at for less frequent cleaning would include a glue/tar remover and an iron fall out remover.

Another vote for Wheel Woolies here too ! I picked up a set of the three on Andy's recommendation and they're awesome at cleaning the wheels (with additional cleaner) without needing to remove them each time.
