Cleaning products for White DS3 with Black roof

HI all, Not sure if my black roof is paint or vinyl.
What should I use to clean it?
If it is vinyl, can I use a carwash?

The roof colors from the factory are paint. Any pattern applied is vinyl.

Its a black roof on a white DS3from the factory.
Have white showing through the black roof.
Have used a carwash a few times and wondered if that was detrimental to the roof?

The whole car will have been sprayed in the body colour in your case white, the roof colour is then sprayed over the top of this.

I've never heard of being about to see white through the black. How old is the car? I've had mine for 4 years in the same colours as you and my roof's fine.

There are quite a few people on here who are really into their detailing who'll give good advice. I use a cheapo snow foam then AutoGlym Bodywork Shampoo Conditioner. Don't use sponges either!

My DS3 is 22 months old and the dealer has tried to blame the white showing through on bird poo. Idiot.
Shall be visiting dealer tomorrow to see what they say.

Bird droppings will etch your paint leaving a kind of dull faded looking spot.

^ I've seen this before on my black Astra, learnt my lesson and now remove bird crap asap after it's landed courtesy of my pack of wet wipes
