Hi to all, we have just noticed little brown spots on our artic silver ds3, has anyone had these before,? And also some advice please in how and what to use to remove the spots and any such item to protect against it. Cheers all.

On the chrome? Have you tried T-cut or a tar removing product?

If they are tiny little orange brown spots probably brake dust, can use a decontaminate like IronX.

Hi i had the same on my white DS4 i used carpro iron x i got a (500ml) bottle spray it on and it turns pink then rinse off.Give the car a wash and polish after.

Is not just tar?

My DS3 gets loads of tar spots - I use Auto Glym Intensive Tar remover. Melts it away a treat.

I was told by a body shop pal, that it's hot brake dust on a clean body surface causes it, I now have some g3 liquid remover to get rid of spots, and then some carnuba wax to seal the paintwork for the future.

it happened to my daughters ds3 hers is white that's how notice
its probably on all cars just u dont recognise it because of the colour
if u live near railways park ur car in industrial esates near iron works
or anything similar ur car is prone to this was told this by my local spray shop as my daughter
quearyed it with citroen as she under warrenty and was told the same,
citroen said go and polish it
