Scuff Mark On Shiny Dash & Dirty Instrument Panel Lens Cover

got the new car and when driving away the interior was pretty dusty, if arnold clark had given the car an interior clean, they did a poor job of it.

Went home and got a duster out & noticed immediately :

No 1 - 2 tiny scuff type marks on the black shiny part of the dash .... is there anything that will take them away, they are tiny but I constantly notice them and its bugging me ?

No 2 - Instrument Panel Lens cover was dirty, so got some glass cleaner to clean this away, but noticed its on the inside. Do you guys thinks this might have been condensation or something waiting for an owner and will clear over time ? Again not that noticable but I can see if and its bugging me like the 1st one

I think i need to inform the dealership about this now just in case i want them to rectify, but If i can prevent that hassle I rather would... what you guys think ?

Jimbob used some black turtle wax - explains:
I found some black Turtle Wax colour polish in the garage.
It had what looks like a black wax lipstick with it to repair scratches.
I rubbed this into the scratch then polished it.
Hey presto no scratch!!!! Cant even see where it was!

thanks, I have phoned them, tried to get through to the salesman but he wasnt there, so left a message for him to call me, If I havent heard back by lunchtime, I will recall them again, I dont want them think I did the scuff mark when I know I didnt and obviuosly I cant dirty the inside of the lens cover.

I take the car is a new vehicle?

If not then Arnold Clark can take the stand that it was there before and nothing was agreed with it, harsh I know. But with that said any dealer worth his salt should agree to sort it for you, just remember my watch word, don't scream and shout and remain polite and fair.

sales guy just got back to me, to take the car up 1st thing on saturday morning for them to have a look at the issues and see what can be done.

I used to work for a company that printed the speedo's, tachos etc for cars a while back, so know cluster lenses can be removed or at least they used to be, just dont know how detailed it is on this car to do so.

but the small scuffs is the worrying one.

As above stay polite and fair but if it's bothering you tell them you want it rectified. Your contract of sale is with them.

Was polite, dashboard getting replaced and lenses being looked at to remove and clean.

under hazard button and door kick button etc same sorta marks as under lenses, its almost as if inside car got wet and its condensation marks that's left, really weird

car went in last night for fixes today, gave me a C3 good god I have always hated that car and after driving it, I hate it more ... I want mine back now please even though it would just be parked at work, I want my car back lol
