  • Badly tarnished baguettes.

Hey guys, I was detailing my car today and realised that the baguettes on my car are really tarnished. Any tips on how to fix them? There seems to be a rusty colour on some bits and the rest has a salty look to it? Tried glass cleaner as suggested by other members, but no luck .

Best thing I found for the Chrome Strips was to use a Clay bar - worked a treat on Boo's car when the strips looked dull.

Mine where really cloudy and filthy on Saturday similar to:

After a wash with Megs Gold Class shampoo, dry and then some carnauba wax, came up like:

This was today, washed on Saturady (it was dark by the time I was done so lets ignore the swirl of wax left ¬ ¬)

Same for my chrome mirror caps.

I had this problem and SRP got them like mirrors on seconds. It was quite remarkable because a cloth and the car wash would not budge anything but one wipe with the polish bought them right out!

                          Brute force or hairdryer.

They're only stuck on so just pull it away gently. Apply heat to make the process less scary.

SRP should be in everyone's garage. Great on chrome-like baguettes, chrome-like front grille, paintwork and Bellones. I also use Zaino AIO if particular problem is too much for SRP.
