  • New Car detailing?

I'm looking into getting the car detailed before I do any more miles in it and get it grubby - would it be advisable to get it detailed properly by pro and then could I simply do a 2BM wash on a weekly basis?? Or would I need to be polishing/waxing every month?

This is the list of products I'm looking to get:

foam lance, magifoam, 2x buckets, 2x grit guards, 2x hand wool mits, 1x autobrite large drying cloth, 1x small drying cloth (alloys), alloy brushes, autobrite very cherry alloy cleaner (10-10), dr leather, chrome polish (any suggestions for mirrrors, door panels/baguettes and exhaust?), fine wool wire, very cherry tyre and trim detailer, microfibre cloths x 3 (windows, leather, interior)

Here's one bloke I found but he's absolutely miles away from me but apparently the best in the trade "miracle detail":

    New Car Ultimate Protection Detail
    Estimated time: 1 day
    Estimated cost: from £450+

Does anyone have any knowledge as to whether these companies are "known" - http://www.miglior.co.uk/services & http://www.finerdetails.co.uk/

http://www.puredetail.co.uk is another detailer not too far away (have no experience of this place, they do use this G-Techniq C1 stuff - nano protective layer that is applied), best guy to talk to on here is Clivep, he's into detailing as hobby. Could also try www.detailingworld.co.uk.

      Hi Stonesy,

Glad you fancy that Autobrite Kit, I help them run training courses (not what I do for a living) and the owner is a personal friend of mine.

Where do you live? I fancy detailing another DS3. If you're anywhere near me and we can sort something out I can throw in some training on aftercare too.

Here's mine after a nice little going over:

ps we're not talking silly money! This is my hobby although I get asked to do quite a few cars!

      Regards,
      Clive.

Looked at Paul's work and I think that would be a bit steep for me, but I'm working to about 200ish! I'll pm you with my details!
