Any suggestions for removing a ? greasy handprint off the paintwork. One of my kids has made a lasting impact that wont wash off, and have tried a little AG super resin polish with little impact. All suggestions, especially cheap (!!) welcome and appreciated.

If its greasy then try some type of degreaser.

        Hi Paulie,

That's interesting that SRP won't move it! Have you tried applying it in with a firm foam (but clean!!!!) applicator and a little elbow grease? Less is more with SRP too...

Before that you could use some general APC (all purpose cleaner) and even tar remover....not knowing what it is makes it slightly hard to advise....

Really stuck and I'd run a machine over the area for you if necessary, but shouldn't be needed (unless the little one has just been in a sandpit!)...

        Regards,
        Clive.

If it's a kiddies hand print then you will have lacquer burn I'm afraid, not sure what causes it but I see it all the time with family cars.

surely it would just be a greasy print . . . would be strange if it would be through the laquer but you never know

Ummm interesting Bigfeet, never seen that myself....but I'd hope a light polish should remove it, I'd get the thing out with the loss of no more than one or two microns I'd suspect.....

It could be Sun protection or annoter type of lotion, that causes the marks its burnt in the paint

I suspect that it may be some kind of suntan lotion, but nothing seems to shift, may be better to clean little handprints very quickly, it seems that this may be more damaging than the birds do dah!!!!!!
