Washed the motor today and to find the bird crap had burnt the clear coat of the roof rail trim and blistered the trim as well scrap :mad::mad::mad::mad what do them F###ers eat take it from me wash it off straight away you have been warned

Indeed, is horrible stuff, sometimes it takes wet sanding followed by machine polishing to remove it, assuming enough clear coat is left. The motto, as you say, is to clear it off straight away.

But I agree... why can't they make clear coat bird-sh*t-proof?!

I keep some all purpose wipes in my car just for that actually, freaks me totally out when I get hit by birdpoo.. I know what it does to my precious.

I'd recommend what Arlow has, just due to how often it happens and you get a lot more wipes!

I have always a bottle of Autoglym Fast Glass and a microfibre towel in the boot. Great stuff for dissolving poo, breaks down the stubborn stuff and does no harm to the car.
