Cheap air freshener refills!

Hi all!

Having just bought a DS3 this is my first post and might seem a little pointless to most. However I noticed that the proper citroen air fresher refills that go in our dashboards are quiet expensive from Citroen. Having popped to Halfords for something today I noticed these and they fit perfectly:

They fit into that cartridge thing very well and at 4 for £2.50 very very cheap!

Picked up two packs of these in Halfords yesterday, managed to fit them into the silver cap of the original freshener and used a small blob of blu-tach to ensure they can't fall out due to exhuberent (spelling ?) driving !

Bargain 8x fresheners for £4.98 - I might still try resoaking the original freshener in scented oil at some point though.

Have never noticed the aroma from the originals in 2 years- Ha!

Yeah I resoak mine but they are still toss, just buy a California scent, loads cheaper and last weeks

Perhaps it needs soaking in something a bit stronger.........

But seriously, i really liked the idea of not having danglers
or vent-breakers. No re-soakers???

Hi all!

Have tried to open the link to the 'cheap air freshener refills' on the Halfords post, however it takes me directly to the Halfords homepage. Can anyone please give me an example of another so I can see what they look like, or even better the link to the Halfords ones?

I've re-soaked the original filter, it works ok, I think Biggie said you could do this up to 3 times before they fall apart, I picked up a manly-ish scented oil in Body Shop and soaked it over night in a bag with the oil

I think the Halfords ones on the first page were discontinued, I bought some and they don't appear in the air freshener section now:

These are the closest to the original ones - no idea whether the head of the stick will still fit into the silver cap of the air freshener holder :confused:

Just noticed I have a load of these sitting in my draw from old demos, will mind to bring them with me next time I make to a meet.
