  • Baked on Brake dust to diamond cut beautys

    ay up guys.

From day one i have only used Supagard ph neutral shampoo and their alloy wheel cleaner along with their post clean protectors. But... a problem has arisen. i haven't cleaned my baby for a few weeks and now have baked on brake dust on my black diamond cuts. the Supagard stuff is good, but not good enough to get this hardcore stuff off. I've even tried tar and bug remover with scratch pad, but doesnt want to budge! any help?!?!?
I have seen on Subaru forums that someone used masonry cleaner and it came straight off. but i am unsure if this would suit our alloys as they are so damn beautiful and not plain metal (will it remove any protection the alloy has already. if you get me?

any help would be totes amaze.

    cheers

Do not under any circumstances use masonry cleaner on your wheels! One you will ruin the finish and two you will give Clive a heart attack! Do as Dan suggests, should work fine without harming your wheels.

Had same problem which was cured with a claybar. Now keep on top of them with Autofinesse Imperial.

A brilliant wheel cleaner which combines purple rain/iron x is Bilt Hambers auto wheels.

Bilt-Hamber Auto Wheel is a pH-neutral wheel cleaner which works by shrinking dirt particles bonded to wheels, forcing them to release their grip on the surface and allowing them to be washed freely away. The cleaner changes colour from clear to a deep purple, letting you know it’s working! In the original test it outstripped all its rivals in both performance and value for money.
