  • G-3 Glasscoat

Popped into my local dealer today to see about servicing and got talking about scratches blah blah.... Then they said had I heard of G3 glass coat.

Has anyone had this done? It costs £299 to complete the car in 3 stages, paintwork, upholstery and then plastics. Apparently they strip the top coat completely off before they apply the new stuff, and it takes all day.

If it toughens up the paintwork and stops even a fraction of the stone chips or scratches it will be worth it in my opinion but I wanted to know what the general consensus was?

    Thanks

Don't spend on that! If you're going to spend £300 to improve the paintwork get yourself a rotary and have some fun - or put it towards someone else to do it.

What Dick said! I don't need the work as it's a hobby for me but for half the price quoted I can do a job ten times better, in my opinion!
