pressure washer detergent

hi all,
i am a bit of a noob to this so please bare with me. right i bought a karcher k2 pressure washer on saturday for bargin of £99 from my local tesco now it came with the detergent but once thats gone could i use a bugget of car shampoo mixed with water throught the detergent feeder?

As the lovely Joni says get a snowfoam lance and some snowfoam!

well i was templted to but since my funds are low this is for the time being. am i right thought you do the pre wash with the foam then use the shampoo then dry to polish either by clay bar or maching or by hand?

There are far more skilled people on here than I but basically:

Rinse
Foam
Rinse
Wash (two buckets of course!)
(At this stage all sorts of other decontaminators can be used inc. clay)
Machine
Wax

That's the basics and even more layers can be added as appropriate but for a weekly do I would say just:

Rinse
Foam
Rinse
Wash (two buckets of course!)
Wax

Plenty on here on the search button and, like I say, some real OCD experts on tap! Enjoy

I've been using MagiFoam. It works great.

Orchard Autocare Cotton Candy, dilution ratio 100:1 (10ml per litre) £9 per 1L

Demon High Foam Shampoo
dilution ratio 10:1 (100ml per litre) £4 per 2L

Both produce much better cleaning abilities than the Magifoams and Valet Pros of this world. JB can certainly vouch for Cotton Candys cleaning abilities.

Using it with my Autobrite lance, can't fault it!

Used 50ml in a 1L snowfoam lance bottle, excellent cleaning abilities. Look at the dirt that has come off the clients car I was detailing!!!

Cotton Candy is an essential part of my detailing kit.

well since i won some money over the weekend i bought my self a snow foam lance for the car along with valet pro ph neutral snow foam along with a dual action machine polisher so hopefuly i get to use it this weekend any thoughts on if the ph neutral snow foam any good? i was tempted to use the autoglym pressure washer stuff

The VP foam is good, better than the Autoglym stuff but not as good as the ones mentioned in my previous posts.
