  • Officially hate bird sh!t! :(

Probably one for Clive here, but thought I'd post up for general opinions...

Am on holiday currently, n managed to pick up a massive bird sh!t on my bonnet, just above the Citroen badge...
Thought I best get it off asap as it could damage the paintwork.. However at tis point it was already dry :-(
And as i'm on holiday, haven't got any of my cleaning gear... Not even any microfibers :-(

Anyhow, broke our what i had to hand... Kitchen towel and water...
Soaked the offending area with water under a wet kitchen towel, then tried to lift it off as gently as possible...

However something went wrong, and ended up with the following :-(

If i run my nail over it, I can just feel some of the ridges :-(

I'm hoping it will buff out, maybe with a bit of machining...

    However what do others think?

    Cheers
    Gav

Baby wipes are the best for bird poop I found. If it's dried then soak it with water or window cleaner first, then gently wipe off.

As for your scratches, they don't look too deep on the picture so you should be able to machine polish them out. Clive is the best person to confirm though.

Teatowl soaked in really hot soapy water and left to soak in is usually a good alternative

Yea, Gav that looks like it needs machining - should come off dead easy with a machine polish....

You just got too keen in your method of removal!

            Regards,

Yep, bit too much elbow grease used :-(
Now to sort out a machining session :-)

Cheers for tips on wet wipes, will have to get some to keep in car...
