How good is this stuff in regards to Tar spots and does it work as good as Autosmarts Tardis?

Simon, AF Iron Out is not a tar remover. It is a reactive iron contamination dissolver. The pH neutral formula reacts and dissolves contamination from all exterior surfaces, paintwork, wheels, glass and even trim. It turns the contaminates purple just like IronX which can then be rinsed off.

AF Oblitarate is their tar remover and is as good IMO as Tardis

No worries pal. As you are in NI you could always get in touch with Rollo at Orchard AutoCare over there to buy this:

I have a few of his products and all are excellent.

I think Orchard could do with a new Web Site designer!!
Its the worst Ive ever seen for an online detailing product shop
OK the products look good but selling them via that site is bound to hinder them

Morrisons for WonderWheels HotWheels. I have used this on bodywork just like IronX to a good effect. You won't get IronX on the high street.

No mate. I use both procedures during a detail to clean the paint as best as I can.

A clay bar provides a method of removing harmful contamination from vehicle paint finishes, improving its durability and increasing the gloss level of subsequent waxes.

Contamination can consist of tiny metallic particles from rail dust, brake dust and industrial fallout; or non-metallic substances such as tree sap, bird droppings or insect residue. It affects all paint finishes and can cause serious damage when left untreated. Surprisingly, even brand-new cars and trucks can suffer from paint contamination.

Metallic contamination is perhaps the worst offender; whilst stuck into the paint surface it corrodes and expands leading to the onset of paint film destruction. Paint contamination can be felt as a rough or gritty texture on the freshly cleaned paint's surface. To assess the degree of contamination on you car's finish simply rub your fingers gently over the freshly washed paint - to magnify the sensation place a piece of cellophane beneath your finger tips and gently rub back and forth - if your paint needs to be clayed you will feel the gritty texture. It is usual to find that horizontal panels such as bonnet roof and boot lid are the most affected.

A clay bar removes these particles effortlessly from contaminated surfaces leaving a glass smooth ultra clean finish perfectly prepared for the application of a polish and LSP. A clay prepared paint surface is not only free of damaging particles but will provide better shine and durability.

Got some of the AF Fallout stuff
Use that then rinse off- then claybar, then wash?

                        That order right Andy?

Used that Iron out stuff- just about a dozen tiny specks blue on the car
Then rinsed off (Foamed a bit)
Used a clay bar and all it did was leave a bit of residue on the car which I had to get off with Tar remover- no stuff on the putty material

Looked as gleaming as whenever I wash it, so didnt see the point really

NB- Am sure its the way I did it, not the products. Will keep them for 6 month and try again
