Just cleaned my lovely car

Been dying to clean it for ages, but not been the weather.

Rinsed, shampooed using two buckets method, rinsed again, then used the auto glym squeegee, finished off with dying towels finally used the auto glym super resin stuff.

Happy with the result and that squeegee really cuts down the dying time, very happy. It's sooooo flexible, even the handle.

Personally I'd ditch the squeegee, swirl inducing evil things! !
Being mainly black it will show swirls like a mofo!

Get yourself some über plush drying towels something like this for example

Gently pat dry the car paintwork, time consuming but best in the long run!

It depends on how anal you want to be!

Very nice matey but do agree with Sash, do not USE a squeegee/blade for drying for any reason at all.

You have gone to the effort of the 2BM (good boy) but run the risk of swirlage from the blade.

I second the use of the drying towel; I have orange dodo ones but my favourite is the extremely plush grey Wooly Mammoth. Its like a fish that just drinks the water without needing to be rung out at all. Always use it on the glass first prior to using it on the paintwork. This gets it damp which as we all know, the best things work when moist.

I digress, anyway keep up the good work Padawan and please throw the blade away NOW, do it NOW, I said NOW and purchase a drying towel please. You don't have to spend a fortune like I did with the Mammoth as Asdas do adequate ones for £3.

Mine is looking lovely at the moment. Just needs finishing fully next weekend. Didn't get chance for pics though properly as light was fading fast. But the clay bar was really needed to get all the little spots off!

Mine got snowfoamed, washed and waxed today, was a bit cold for waxing really
. But looks lush now.
But I have noticed that I've lost a wheel weight so it'll be going in to get that sorted soon.

The rear side glass is very flush against the bodywork so I would say no. Stones and grit can scratch glass too.

Play it safe and use a towel. In my bad old days when I didn't know better, I would have to use a towel or a cloth anyway after using a blade to completely dry the glass.

OhEmGeeeee my eyes!!!

How very painful! I used to use my local hand car wash on the provisio that they used a brand new sheepskin mitt, clean water and let me dry it! ! Haha!

Now it stays dirty until either I or the equally anal OH can wash it!
