  • Wheels :(

So the story does when i got the ds i was using the alloy wheel brush i used on my old freelander so i cleaned. Polished and sealed them to day but have noticed ive left them covered in tiny surface scratches from this brush. Can anyone reconmend a good compound for doing the wheels by hand ? Ive got megs ultimate compound but i dont want to go right in with that.

You could try filling them in with AG SRP, if no joy then I would not hesitate in using the Megs UC. I take it that it would be done by hand?

Tried the srp mate it did help a wee bit but there still there. There on the insert part of the spokes if u know what i mean not the front surface so it would be by hand. So you think the megs uc will be fine to use ?

I used a wheel brush on a wheel a while back. A specific wheel spoke brush, too.
Left swirls all over, never again. But how to get thru the spokes?
Struggle with a sponge- better than a brush anyways

A lesson learned for both of us then mate

Ive been using a little brush i got with a bottle of wonder wheels lately. Seems to do the job but takes forever in a day to do.

I do like the look of the wheel woolies but at 40 quid it just seems a bit steep

WWs are brilliant and safe too. Perfect for the hard to reach places.

            Envy brushes like these:

            Or Valetpro brushes like this:

are both safe to use on the front faces of the alloys with a wheel cleaner

It certainly won't do any harm. Whether it makes a dramatic enough difference in improvement is another story.

Tbh mate there really not that bad and can only be seen up close but this detailing bug is catching i know they there. I will give the uc a go and take it from there. The brush i use is similar to the one in the second photo but i like the idea of how long the ww are and can get right through to the backs of of the wheels. I think am just going to need to bite the bullet and stop being a tight c*nt and buy my self a set

Good for wheel arches with their long handles and some APC or Surfex.
