  • How dry is dry?

Last week when I washed my car I had loads of water spots where in dried in the kind of sunshine. So, along with some other goodies, I got a purple monster which I used on Friday night. It was pretty good, mopping up the beads of water (Sonax NPT :-) ) but there was a light film of water left afterwards, is that normal?

Squeeze out and do it again. Or use a microfiber to go over after/ before
    sigpic.

Once you've dried it then use a detailing spray and with a microfibre cloth.

A tip for using a drying towel is to use it dry on the glass first. Then,
slightly damp, it will perform great on the paintwork.
As Tox says, once dry a QD can be used with a de-tagged plush mf.

A QD can also be used as a drying aid on one panel at a time. When wet, spray QD onto paintwork then dry with drying towel. Dry and shiny in one go. Won't be as good as totally drying the car first then applying the QD as it will be some what diluted but a decent time saver none the less.

Thanks guys, my other goodies last week were some MFs and some BSD but I ran out of time on Friday night.
The other half is off to a spa on Saturday so I'm unsupervised for most of the day.
