Here to help my friend. It is a fantastically easy product to use and makes a big difference. I certainly wouldn't go back to using a clay bar.

I'll pick up one of those as well. That was the part I was the most worried about as well.

I tried the valet pro citrus pre wash with the pressure sprayer, certainly softens the dirt but i dont think i used a strong enough mix for the amount of grub stuck to the car... try again tommorow if weather is nice!

Quick Q... my car is white, the front and rear bumper is made of plastic and appears to have discoloured a little in comparison with the rest of the body, do you think a good clay & polish may reform it to its former glory or is this something requiring much more attention? Thanks guys

What dilution ratio did you use for the pre-wash colganraz?

The plastic may be contaminated by fall out. A good application of IronX, a rinse and a clay mitt session should improve the colour significantly.

I used 150ml of citrus and filled the sprayer to 1.5L, i did not leave it all that long though,.i noticed straight away it dissolved the bird turd very well!

Gonna have a right detailing kit with all these recommendations lol. I checked the video but i dont really see what ironX does? And thanks for the advice  really looking forward to attempting my first proper detail!

Airborne chemical compounds and ferrous particles (particles containing iron) actually penetrate the paint and create corrosive compounds that eat deep into the paint's sub-layers or paint’s pin-holes. This is a gradual process that often is not evident until it's too late. Claying does not remove the entire particle which will continue to spread beneath the surface if not dissolved.

During the use of your car, brake dust and road grime become sintered to the surface of the car paint , rims and wheels due to the high temperature conditions they are normally exposed. Brake dust contains high levels of iron and once sintered to the rim, becomes extremely difficult to dissolve or remove without the use of harsh chemicals. IronX opens up the paint's pores to release ferrous particles and to neutralize caustic compounds that have developed in the paint's subsurface. Ongoing damage is immediately stopped and future damage is prevented by removing the ferrous particles.

IronX sprays on as a transparent liquid. As the cleansing liquid begins to work into the dirt and grime, the formula begins to turn purple/ red. The purple/red coloration is the IronX Cleaner forming a bond to the sintered iron on the car paint and wheel and changing its state to a water soluble complex for easy removal. Stubborn, baked on grime may take a small amount of agitation. Rinse car paint and wheels thoroughly with a power washer and wipe dry.

The IronX is used by body shops for pre-cleaning prior to detailing and by dealerships for new and used car prep. It is proven to deliver a clean, glassy smooth vehicle that is protected from the harmful effects of paint contamination.

Try it on your wheels and see how you get on?

Ok rabid so i followed your wash guide using pre wash and 2BM and i am very impressed

I used the pre wash and it loosened alot of dirt off which was stubborn around the arch area, i did not get it all but i think because my paint is not protected with wax etc like yours the dirt is much harder to remove, but still helped alot

Can tell the paint is comtaminated badly at the rear hopefully your help with products will make it much better when the time comes, thanks again for the great guides!

                      Rabid is the man .

Got to say I was really impressed with the IronX. Two applications cleaned my wheels to a point where I barely had to touch them. It was impressive because what with it being a new car and new brakes, they were caked on pretty badly.

So this is what I'm sat on so far. I still need to get some wheel woolies, wheel wax and tar remover but other than that I don't think there's much else for now (for my level of "expertise" anyway ). Once that bottle of BSD is empty I'll pick up the 5 ltr one instead.

                          Anything obvious I'm missing Andy?

That looks an excellent collection pal. Fall out remover could be added but not essential. Tyre dressing, metal polish for tips?
Stuff you need, it may be worthwhile waiting to see if you can get some bargains at Waxstock?? Or is that too far away lol.

Yes mate I'll definitely be hunting out some bargains there, though I don't think I can wait that long for some bits . I was eyeing up some metal polish but I had to hold off as it's starting to get expensive in an already expensive month for me!

Your getting a nice little collection there mate 😃 for a wheel sealant i use fk1000p its a high temp sealant for both paint work and wheels. I use the bsd on the paint so use this. It sure helps when cleaning the wheels as the brake dust comes off with ease
