  • RabidRacoon28 Power Maxed Tyre Dressing review

Was kindly sent this from Wayne at Power Maxed.

    Retails at £9.99 for a 1L bottle.

Car hadn't been cleaned in about a week so after 500 miles was pretty grubby.

Here is the rear offside wheel and tyre

Tyre scrubbed with SurfexHD and a stiff brush

Cleaned rest of car, wash, dry and application of BSD. Tyres were now dry enough to apply the dressing

Cut up a sponge to use as an applicator and added a couple of lines of dressing

    Half and half

Completed rest of this tyre and then the other 3.

After 15 minutes the tyres looked really glossy but I thought still wet.

Used a clean, dry MF cloth to test if it was dry

    Rubbed onto tyre

Revealed that it was indeed dry and non greasy to touch

Dressed all 4 tyres again and after 8 applications (4 tyres X2) the sponge was not dirty at all like is the case with other dressings such as Eggs Mendurance for example

    End result

Fantastic is the only word I can describe for this dressing. Initial observations are extremely easy to apply, very economical, clean and non greasy. I don't anticipate any sling so will comment on wear over the next couple of weeks.

Initial observations would say so, (so far). Will report on the wear after a week or so but safe to say this will be my "go to" tyre dressing for clients cars in the future.

It is extremely glossy yet dry Clive after just 2 applications.
What a massive difference to the look of the tyre with a dressing applied after the tyres have been properly scrubbed clean.

Anyway hope you're ok? Nice to hear from you. Are you off to Waxstock again this year?

Not as good as first impressions thought

Prior to application after scrubbed clean with stiff brush and SurfexHD

After 2 applications with about half an hour in between each application

The following day after 64 miles (combined light rain then dry weather conditions)

The following day after another 129 miles (dry weather conditions)

And then after another 85 miles (dry weather conditions)

So after just 278 miles in 3 days, the tyre is not glossy at all and is almost just like it was prior to application. The only good thing is there is no/was no sling whatsoever.

Probably wouldn't purchase if I was to run out of tyre dressing in the future.

I always used to use the autoglym stuff which i thought was decent, just messy applying the stuff.

Currently using this which i quite like, although i have noticed occasionaly it has flicked onto the paintwork...

Have you used it before rabidracoon?
