  • DS3 Colours

Not sure what is the most popular colour for the DS3 that customers have purchased so far. Reading these boards it appears many of you have bought reds, whites and yellows. The 2 grey versions look interesting and perhaps the reds but white and yellow cars will probably lose more value over time than the rest I feel.
I have had so many black cars that I will simply never again entertain another because they look so filthy even after a small shower of rain.
Has anyone here purchased a Botticelli blue or perhaps the one i like the most a Belle Ille blue
Also has anyone thus far regretted the colour they've chose and kind of wished they'd chosen some other shade?

Why worry about depreciation? Sure you can afford something a bit more exclusive in a couple months time

Nah, I love mine. Black/White with chrome mirrors & strips, Carbon dash and black vinyls. Best thing to do is have a play around with the customiser on the Citroen site and see what you like.

umm i have the Thorium Grey and Black roof option and really cant complain so far. I am not one for bright colours so i guess it depends on you likes/dislikes.

There is 2 members around her with the 2 different blues. One is Eikken (light Blue) and the other i can not remember off the top of my head. When i got a minute (probably at half time of the Ars-Ips match) ill have a look and find the other member

I have the flashy Yellow, get a lot of looks , I personally believe the shapes come out best with a flash color, although the black can be very aggressive . But I don't regret my choice

I got the white with the boticelli roof, the brochures and configurator doesn't do it justice, it's got the wow factor in the flesh... so to speak

I have the Belle Ille Blue with a Black onyx roof, I think the colour combination looks really good.
I must take some Photos and post them on here.

To be honest withl you colour doesn't play a very big part of a valuation of a car, unless of course it is a strong colour. In my opinion if you are buying a DS3 and wanting to avoid any colour issues then stay away from the Sport Yellow and the Botticelli Blue, normally the trade views yellow as an oddball shade and pastel colours are worse. Saying that the worse colour for any car is what us traders refer to as 'Doom' Blue, which is navy Blue.

In regards to DS3 I think the colour will not have too much of affect on values as the cars are marketed as being bright and dynamic so order will your heart and not your wallet.

We've got probably one of the rarest combinations: Mativoire beige/Carmen red.

My wife chose the colours - she wanted the carmen red dash, so choices were limited. I was a little bit concerned about the Mativoire Beige - beige is the colour of Austin Maestros - but a few weeks before ours was delivered I saw a Mativoire C3 Picasso which dispelled my doubts; on the configurator & in photos it looks a rather dull colour, not so in real life!

For an idea of what the French are buying, see:

                    Agreed ^

The Mativorie is a good colour, but one of those you need to see first as the website makes it look rubbish!

I've ordered a white DS3 Racing, didn't like the idea of the orange dash in the black one. If I'd gone for the DSport instead it would have been silver with a black roof and black wheels. My current car and previous 2 have been silver, I find it doesn't show up marks & dirt as much as other colours plus my first silver car was an A3 1.8Tsport so it was only natural to buy it in silver
DS3 Racing, also available in White!!!

Sport yellow with black roof & mirrors, silver wheels (had no choice there - they were on it when I bought it) and the all-important funky yellow interior.

                              Sod the resale value!
