I know of your sad dilemma. I had a similar situation with a car I loved and rode hard for nearly 8 years almost every day with a happy smile.

Anyway I didn’t want anyone else to get their hands on him or ride him as hard as I did, so I planned a last trip out to the Red cliffs of Stonehaven.

I released his parking brake and let him slip gently away and could almost hear him scream and then scream again. Silly me, I hadn’t realised there was a campsite at the foot of the cliff. He ripped through almost a dozen tents with limbs flying but he still made his bold French retreat to the North Sea.
To my shock and horror I realised I had left my laptop, mobile, wallet and house keys inside him as the Sea swallowed him up. The campers weren’t a very friendly bunch and wouldn’t let me share a tent for the night even though there were a lot of free broken ones after what the car had done.


Since I am now a Health and Safety manager, I now understand that like a lost lover, sometimes you just have to let them go…………….
