Well picked car up checked service book and it was serviced at 10k.. and is now on 20k... So I spoke to the guy who sold me the car.. he's been good to me in the past and very good to me now so far... He claims it had a service before me picking it up just book did not get stamped.. so I checked oil level and it's bang on.. but the oil looks a little dark to me for it to be fresh oil..is it any other way I can tell if it has actually had the service??

As neil said there is really know way to physically tell by looking at the car but there should be records of work being done to the car, parts used, the time spent by mechanic, ect. Ask if you could see those. If they do not exist then assume they did not do it.Originally posted by cyclone
