Bluetooth scares the ba-jeebus out of me

Can anyone help. Ive got the added extra of bluetooth in my car which works like a dream. But when a call comes through the loudest beep known man comes through the speakers to let me know of this fact. I cant find how to change the beep or turn the volume down. Checked in the manual and it says to press the phone button twice on the radio panel to pull up the phone menu.. I havent got a phone button.. for the sake of my eardrums and a prescription for my nerves can anyone suggest anything?

If your Bluetooth is factory fitted then the phone button is the end of the right hand stick below the wiper stick on the steering column. Press and hold that and it is the phone function.

Thanks girlypink I know which one you mean, the button that answers the phone when your driving? ill try that does holding that take you to the phone options menu? And kb the phone options in the menu are just bluetooth settings and nothing to do with phone notifications so wont let me chamge it.

I could be totally wrong but isn't this BEEP controlled by the bluetooth volume on the phone? rather than on the car's stereo.

Yeah this is annoying, I need it to be turned down or preferably, the type of sound it plays to be changed - is this possible??

The warning beep as far as I'm concerned can't be changed on the standard set-up. The only thing to try is make a connect and turn the volume down and see if that reduces the volume of the 'beep'.

Yeh it's a right faff.. If you turn it down then the music (which is already limited in playback volume) goes to a point where you can't really hear it
