  • Calling all diesel owners!

We're working with Zunsport about how to change the grill design after I spotted a difference with the OEM grills and what is behind them.

To get a bigger picture of the models and differences can you please take a look at your grill and pop your answer in the poll at the top, if you could add your Model and year as a reply here that would be awesome.

It could be that ALL diesels are like the pictured below, but at the meet we only had Dsports.

    This is the Dsport Petrol:

    This is the diesel:

You can see behind the grill a further plastic surround.

    So please vote:
Yes - My diesel is the same as pictured
No - My diesel is the same as the other picture

It's a bumper plug that you are seeing and it would only be on the diesel versions, it's part of helping the car reach lower emissions.

How does it reach lower emissions with that addition?

To be honest with you I'm not sure, my guess is to reduce drag on the front of the car.

Mine has it 2012 E-HDI 110bhp, and I believe it is to reduce air flow to the engine, as the engine runs a lot cooler than the petrol. In fact I had one of these over my grille in the winter on my C4, which was an official Citroen accessory, and made the engine warm up quicker and it actually improved economy by keeping the engine temperature higher.
