  • Bubbling baguettes

So after cleaning my car this evening I gave it an all round look over. Then what I thought to be dirt on one of the baguettes turned out to be bubbling. Was wondering if I should go to Citroën about this as the car is still under warranty

Thanks for any advice you guys can give

If it is bubbling then they should do it under warranty and a fairly easy swap as I believe they are effectively double sided taped on.

I would definitely speak to Citroen about it, it shouldn't be doing that on a car as new as yours.

Go along to your dealer and point it out, no guarantee that Citroen will swap it as it may come under 'wear and tear' but unless you find out you won't know.

Mines bubbling a little bit after 68,000 miles
If it gets bad I'll wrap them.

Nipped into Citroen Kirkcaldy today and the guy had a look. From what he said he sounded pretty positive it would get swapped. Also spied a new dsport and it looked great. Was tempted to ask them to turn the lights on haha

I've got the same problem on mine but I think I want to get them done in white anyway. Don't know if the bubbles will affect that though. Got an extended warranty so I might ask.

My side strips and front grill have been bubbling since it was 6 months old. It's now 12 months old and hasn't spread or got any worse.

It's as if the original parts were contaminated in places and the adhesive did stick at those spots. There are no stone chips or marks on the silver where the bubbles are and not caused through damage to the surface. Never seen this issue on plastic chrome trim on any other of my cars and put it down to poor quality.

Anyone know if there is a guide to remove these chrome pieces for wrapping?

More trouble than it is worth. Just have them wrapped on the car.

Was going to wrap them myself, don't pick up the car until Tuesday, is they a little give in them to tuck the wrap under them?

                            Thanks for the help

                              Hey guys.

Nipped into Walkers Citroën in kirkcaldy today to see what was going to happen with the bubbling - never had a phone call from them. Went up to the desk and they said the part came in yesterday. I'm getting it fitted next Friday morning under warranty

Thanks guys for the advice given - that's why I love this forum, you're all so helpful
