    Temp guage

    Anyone had problems with theres. Mines started coming from normal position down to almost cold sit there a while then return to normal after a bit. When in for a service they said this was normal. Now it sits in between cold and normal all the time when on a run doing 40mph and over

    Doesn't sound normal to me. There's been a few recently that needed replacing. I'd take it to another dealer if your current one won't help.

      Yes- think they are spinning you a line there- mine finds where it wants to sit, near the middle, and stays put even when pushed hard

        Mine moves slightly, but I guess it's normal. Sometimes when I really punish the car it might go slightly over middle and when fan turns on it drops slightly below middle.

          Yep! mine has been replaced about a month ago it went from cold to fully hot back and forth, stop light and bonging from chime. I videoed it but don't know how to upload.
          Local dealer replaced under warranty, no biggy

            Cheers guys it used to sit just over half way all day long but not now. Owell back to the famous Arnold clark we go [emoji2]

              Ours only moves slightly from cold - less than half way between middle and the far left. Took it into dealers but they said no problem.

              All cars I have had the temp gauge sits bang in the middle. Except the C4 picasso which didn't have one .

              Should I try another dealer or is this fairly normal?

              Also orange passenger airbag dash light stays on for about 30 secs once the engine has started! Is this normal?

                Well its not fairly normal- but maybe if it aint broke, dont fix it.
                Depends if you trust your dealer :-)

                  Just an update.

                  Took into another dealer as not much heat coming from heater on cold mornings.

                  Dealer rang me up and said it was working fine! I asked how they had tested it, to which they replied they had left it running stationary!!!!!!!

                  I said take it out for a drive ( real world conditions) and call me back. Got a call back about 30 minutes later saying they were ordering the parts.

                  They said they had to order an updated part so I guess this could be an issue generally.

                  All working as it should now with needle in middle and MPG is up.

                    What did Arnold Clarke do?
                    My Temp Gauge used to sit rock solid at 50%. About a month ago I sat on the M25 for 5 mins and since then it now sits at just 25% when driving. It does move up abit when stationary. The garage don't seem to have a clue why the change!
                    I wondered if the Thermostat had got stuck, passing water via the rad all of the time.
                    Anyone know anything?
                    14 plate Ds3 155HP.
