Emyway any good?

thinking of having this on the next car
is it any good? reliable? what is it like to use?

any videos of it in action? (search youtube, but they are not in english)

I like it, the big screen is very nice. Once you get used to using the dial to navigate it's actually very straight forward.

What do you want to see? I'll try and make you a video this weekend.

things like ease of use ( showing controls used) music system/display (any other info it shows)
and of course the nav system, from inputting the destination, to being on the move.

I need to order by the end of this month due to my currents cars lease being up, and need to have new car in time for end of this one.

The eMyWay is the same set-up as to be found in C3, C4, DS4, DS5 so I suggest checking with your dealer as he should at least have a DS5 which you can have a play with.

I have it in my DS4
The screen is good for display purposes but the sat nav is mediocre at best
No post code search and the input method,turning the wheel to select each letter and option
is a pain,needs updating to touch screen imo!
Deffo wouldn't pay £800 for it,that's why I didn't spec it on my new DS3

You can. You just need to make sure the dealer has fully updated it before you drive away. Mine does full postcodes & traffic no problem.

My eMyWay was a £1350 option. It finishes the dash off nicely and I really like the visuals. But there are quite a few issues with it:

1) Very overpriced
2) Should be touch screen. Peugeot and Renault manage it with the DS3 competition
3) I've experienced a few glitches with music playback such as tracks being skipped of its own accord
4) Folder/track limits. I can't remember the exact numbers, but they are quite low. Forget filling a USB stick with all your songs as it will probably be missing most of them
5) I would expect album art. There's lots of wasted space where track information appears.
6) The sat nav is rubbish. Confusing and inconsistent directions e.g. sometimes bear left means don't take the exit, sometimes it means the road bends to the left and sometimes it means take the exit. It will tell you to keep left, then after the instruction you'll have to get right across several lanes in a few yards. My ancient TomTom One does a better job.

they had a DS5 in, but it had a different operating system in (so the sales guy said, and had this confirmed by his manager)
