I've been quite impressed with the Falken Ze914's.

Had them on special when I last got them changed, nearly due again and considering the same again.

Replaced the original Bridgestones RE050A fronts (worst tyres I've known) with Toyo T1Rs. Huge improvement. I was disappointed with the handling when I first got the DS3 but swapping the tyres made it so much better. I'd read they were crap in the wet but I've got no complaints. They seem to be wearing quite well too.

Toyos are crap in the wet, they are horrendous in the wet & even worse in the snow.

If you had shit tyres all along you probably will think there are ''no problems'' in the wet. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But toyo's are very bad in the wet and when there is surface water.

The Toyos are a lot better than the Bridgestones all round. The car was delivered with the Bridgestones and they're supposed to be *performance tyres* but they're awful.

I had Pilot Sports on my C2 before the DS3 and I've always said it handled better than the DS3. I might get a set next time they need replacing.

                          Awaits disowning.....

A few weeks ago I had a pair of Nankang Ultrasport NS11's fitted on the front for £97 for the pair inc valves balance disposal etc. Despite some spirited driving in both the dry and the wet, they have felt as good as the Bridgestones that came off. I was going to go for the Falkens ZE914 but think I read a thread from ChrisBlue that he had run the Nankangs and he was still alive, so have taken my chances and not been disappointed.

Nangkang NS2 Ultrasports are a pretty good budget tyre, but still lacking a little, that why i went for the Pilot Sport 3s. They are the best Ive driven
Think Nangkangs are aiming for the "Mid quality" tyre market. Still have one on my full size spare.

Falken is getting a lot of press at the car shows Ive noticed, but they always used to be budget pants. Maybe theyre better. Must be if they are pushing them.

Agree Bridgestones are rubbish. Twitchy as heck.

Also had budget Roadstones (Chinese import made by goodyear i think) which i wish I'd never sold. And Sunitron, who the tyre place when putting my winter tyres on, ofered to buy.
