  • Upgraded Clutch

Got a quote for a Hybrid turbo conversion + DPF delete and remap for the 110 e-hdi dstyle + , Planning to go ahead but I'm stuck with finding a clutch capable of taking it all bare in mind figures will be around 170-180 bhp +

I've trawled the internet high and low but still can't come up with anything so that's why you lovely people are here.

Does anyone have the slightest clue about an upgraded clutch capable of taking the torque ?

I'd think Zack might be the best person to help with this, I think he as similar performance figures for his eHDi 90 He's normally around at some point.....

As Chris said I had an upgraded clutch conversion as part of a package from a company called klutchmaters, who unfortunately have since gone through. I'll try and dig out some paperwork to see if there's a detailed list of items, all I remember is that it's still a Dual-Mass flywheel as they were concerned about reliability on a single mass.

Correct me if I am wrong here folks but doesn't DPF delete = guaranteed failure of MOT?

Should do yes...but currently it's only a visual inspection. So if it's done discretely then there's no way of telling, it will pass.

Mmm don't diesel cars with DPF's removed smoke though Jamie ? Mine never does so you'd think an MOT centre would spot it a mile off ? I know there are plenty of ways of getting MOTs from friends of friends though

They don't smoke hardly at all with them removed, only when remapped to a very high set up.
The testers have to follow strict test guidelines and procedures, they can only visually look to see if it's present, no poking or prodding, no removal of undertrays and covers, and no guessing or thinking it may be have removed. The gas analysers only test the gases, not the amount of matter coming from the exhaust.
Things may change in the future though...
